The Frontier was completely redesigned in 2022. However, in 2025, it will level up again with a new front-end design, new convenience and safety technologies, and greater availability of the 6-foot bed. This Dick Smith Nissan of Lexington post gives you the highlights.

Enhanced Outside and In

The 2025 features a revised front fascia, grille, and bumper design that better exemplifies its squared-off stance. There is also a new tailgate finisher for PRO-X/PRO-4X models, a new 17-inch alloy wheel design for SV models, and the introduction of a new Afterburn Orange paint.

The interior boasts new, redesigned dashboard trim and more convenience features, such as a telescopic-adjusting steering wheel, sliding rear window, and sunglasses holder. A four-way power passenger seat is now standard on the PRO-X/PRO-4X and SL grades. On SV and higher grades, two-way power lumbar support is added to the six-way power driver's seat.

Front Dash View in the New Nissan FrontierSV and higher grades are given a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, including the convenience of wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity. SL grades include a wireless phone charger and an Intelligent Around View® Monitor. The “L” stands for “luxury in the Frontier SL, which features leather-appointed front and rear seating, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED exterior lighting, and a Fender® Premium Audio system with ten speakers.

Listening to customer feedback, the 2025 Frontier expanded the availability of the Crew Cab long-wheelbase configuration beyond the SV grade to also include PRO-4X and SL grades for owners looking to carry larger loads for work or play.

The towing capacities increase by about 500 pounds on all grades and configurations, reaching a maximum of 7,150 pounds. When the going gets rough, and things slow down, the PRO-4X Intelligent Around View® system includes an Off-Road Mode, which allows the driver to view potential obstacles on non-paved trails. The system works at seeds below 12 mpg.

Rear View of the New Nissan FrontierA six-cylinder engine has become increasingly rare in this segment, but the Frontier continues to come standard with a direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Rated for 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque, the engine features Idle Stop/Start. Active Brake Limited Slip is standard on all grades, with PRO-4X upgrading to an electronic locking differential to help provide added traction on mixed surfaces. PRO-X and PRO-4X are also equipped with all-terrain tires and Bilstein off-road suspension components. Available on Frontier models is a Utili-Track™ system for its bed with adjustable tie-down cleats to keep the load secure. An available spray-in bedliner eliminates concerns of scratches in the bed.
