Nissan Heritage Z

In the fall of 1969, a new car would change everything. A sports coupe that combined the traditions of the past with modern engineering and technology. 

They called it Z.

The original Datsun 240Z is a celebration of Nissan’s dreams of being a global automotive manufacturer. It has two seats, a powerful in-line six-cylinder engine, and performance that rivaled the great sports coupes of the time. 

Today, Nissan celebrates the original Z with a special Heritage Edition of the current sports coupe. 

For this special Z, Nissan swapped out the current front end with one that almost looks like the one from 1970. The grille is split, as it had the original bumper on it. The color is truly an original—orange was one of the iconic paint finishes back in 1970. Nissan also added a black hood decal for a classic effect, along with fender extensions and special badging for this Heritage Edition.

Everything else is modern Z. Powered by a 400-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and you have a choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. The Heritage Edition also adds a limited-slip differential, performance brakes with red calipers, 19-inch alloy wheels, and other features inside and throughout this special Heritage Edition Z.

The 2024 Nissan Z Heritage Edition will be available in limited numbers in the summer, starting at $59,135. 

Of course, there are other Z models to check out – just in case you are unable to get your hands on a Heritage Edition. The Sport is purity in motion, as it gives the performance you expect in a Z. Stepping up to the Performance model notches up the excitement level with larger wheels, performance-rated tires, and a few amenities to soak it all in. 

At the top of the range is the NISMO model. With 420 horsepower, NISMO throws everything into this performance-enhanced Z that makes quick work at the track and on the roads of our Bluegrass State. Aerodynamics are further enhanced to keep the Z planted at every turn.
