Nissan Adds Rock Creek model to 2025 Rogue Lineup

The biggest news for the 2025 Rogue is the addition of the Rock Creek model. Like its sibling in the Pathfinder model line, the Rock Creek is the most off-road-focused Rogue to date. Here is a preview from Dick Smith Nissan of Lexington.

Rock Creek Lets You Go Deeper

Let's establish from the outset that the Rock Creek has not been designed to go rock crawling with the Jeep Wrangler on the Rubicon trail. However, it does offer features for those who appreciate venturing off-pavement to a favorite camping or outdoor activity spot. Most helpful are the Falken WildPeak all-terrain tires, which have plenty of sidewall around the 17-inch satin-black wheels. Motivating the wheels is an upgraded all-wheel drive system with hill descent control, which helps drivers maintain a steady speed when going down steep inclines.

For added assistance in viewing the trail around you, an HD Intelligent Around View® Monitor7 is featured, which includes an Off-Road View that can operate while driving at speeds up to 12 mph. Nicknamed the invisible hood, it is a very useful tool for spotting obstacles when maneuvering.

The Rock Creek is excursion-ready with a tubular roof rack and integrated crossbars. Inside, you will find water-repellent leatherette seating and piano black dashboard trim. The seats also include Lava Red accent stitching and the Rock Creek logo, which match numerous Lava Red accents on the exterior.

The Rock Creek has an available premium package that adds convenience and a bit of luxury to the outdoor vibe. It includes a wireless charging pad, heated steering wheel, four-way power passenger seat, motion-activated power liftgate, driver position memory, reverse tilt-down outside mirrors with integrated turn signals, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and interior LED accent lighting.

A Major Technological Enhancement for SL and Platinum Models

You will find technological enhancements elsewhere in the Rogue model line. For example, the SL and Platinum models will have a 12.3-inch center touchscreen backed by the Google Built-in operating system. This system features built-in Google Maps navigation and Google Assistant voice recognition. Numerous apps are also downloadable from the Google Play Store. Though a Google system, it is wirelessly compatible with Apple CarPlay® as well as Android Auto™.

Three Flavors of ProPilot Assist

The Rogue lineup includes three versions of ProPilot Assist. The standard system includes adaptive cruise control and steering assistance. ProPilot 1.1 taps into the Google Maps navigation system to adjust the cruise control’s speed ahead of curves so the set mpg 75 that felt fine when going straight doesn’t suddenly become uncomfortably dramatic on a curve.

ProPilot 2.1 is available as an option on LS and Platinum. It will allow true hands-free driving on pre-mapped highways. However, you will still need to take control when passing, which you will probably want to do anyway.

Under the hood, the Rogue retains its turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-3 engine, which produces a generous 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque and is combined with an efficient Xtronic continuously variable transmission. All-wheel drive is standard on the Rock Creek and available on all other trim levels.

The 2025 Rogue model line is expected to be available in the late summer / early fall of 2024 and might have even arrived in the Nissan of Lexington inventory by the time you read this. If not, have one of the Dick Smith sales professionals notify you when they arrive.
